Waiting on Fall

Hello my friends we are getting closer to Thanksgiving and that means closer to Christmas yea happy dance here.

I changed out the hutches and mantel one more time before they all get redone for Christmas.I have never had a mantel to decorate and after following every body's ideas for years I can't wait to do my own the ideas that run rampant thru my mind are endless.thank you all for putting so many beautiful ideas out there and filling  Pinterest boards with your wonderful creations. To say I am excited to do a mantel is pretty much at the top.

This little hutch that I had saved from a trash heap gets a re do also for Fall doesn't she just scream Shabby Chic to you? So cute and all she needed was a little TLC and lots of sanding to find a new home.

My mantel has been switched with some Fall favorite things. My treasure jar first and foremost in the center.

this little jar all dressed up with burlap and lace

this little wooden bowl was made by my Brother and filled with driftwood from his travels all over the world's beaches.

A little lacey cake plate had to join in the fun

Pumpkin spice bread tin from an old friend given to me many years ago and holds many memories for me.A scalloped dish plate I just Love

I switched out my hutches to just whites with a touch of browns . I go about Seattle and take pics wherever I am to see all the colors in their glory. This state has been s
o beautiful  in her array of colors . everywhere I go I am so amazed by what I see .If it's in Walmart parking Lot or along the Freeways I can tell you moving up here and witnessing this season has been so worth it to me.

  1. Having a mantel is so much fun, isn't it? For years I wanted a mantel to decorate so I had a friend build me one. It was lovely at the time. It hangs on the wall now behind the dining room table because my hubby surprised me with a fireplace for Christmas a few years ago. It's an electric fireplace but a fireplace just the same. It's great fun changing out the mantel for the seasons! I love your cabinet. What a find in the junk heap! It looks wonderful displaying all your pretties. So glad you shared with us at my new party. Thank you, and have a beautiful day.

    Autumn blessings,
    Sandi

    1. Sandi I couldn't be happier than you commenting on both my post and my little cabinet. She is such a special little jewel but not fake this little cabinet is solid wood and heavy than heck. I took this apartment because when I saw the fireplace I just stood and cried for an hour thinking this was mine and home and I had a mantel to decorate with. I love following your blog can I have your buffet table? its so shabby chic too.Susie
