Valentine table for 2017

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you wow can't believe we are into mid February already. Hope you all  are over the winter  cruds of colds and flu.I got hit with it twice and it really wiped me out.Now we are getting hit with our third huge snow of 2017. there is ten inches of snow on ground and still falling. woke to no power couldn't even make a cup of coffee

My sweet table this year is for two it's hard to think of romance when it's so cold outside

I wanted to keep it simple don't know what my menu will be or even if I will make anything.I am cooking at my church at our couple's comedy Valentine's dinner so my focus is on that.

But February  wouldn't be the same if we didn't celebrate

It's all about LOVE and romance right?

Little cupids to remind us of where this tradition comes from

This one is sitting high throwing kisses to all

This one  is sitting by with just a demure smile in anticipation of the LOVE to come

And sweet desserts to finish off the evening

Hope your day is filled with LOVE, Promises and all the Romance you can handle.Happy Valentine's Day to all.Love Susie

Amsterdam table and WinterHello everybody Happy

Hello Everybody Happy 2017.I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season.I had a wonderful time. I went and visited my son in Brookings Oregon,It was so beautiful there

While there I found these perfect blue plates that I wanted to complete my Amsterdam table.Only while in Amsterdam I couldn't afford the plates there but did purchase a few items.
So I set a table for Tea.Its been in the low 20's here in seattle I thought an evening Tea would be nice

These little adorable beauties came from Amsterdam

As did this little cup just to precious

I bought the little porcelain wooden shoes and was going to use as napkin rings but decided to just put into a bowl and enjoy all of them

I loved all the blue and white while in Amsterdam just so serene and pretty. There were shops everywhere that carried the blue and white motif but just not in my price range. oh well you have to make do with what you got.
This is the view I woke up to on New Years Day 8 in of beautiful pristine snow. Well I knew I couldn't go anywhere so just hunkered in and enjoyed the beauty.

It was so pretty

Not even a footprint to mar the surface

I couldn't even open my back porch door it was so snowed in.

The neighbors went out and built a six foot snowman later in the day.then temps fell and the driveway was solid ice for four days .getting in and out was a nightmare.

Even my beach was gorgeous with the Olympic Mts in the distance. On the news it said 48 out of the 50 states has already gotten snow this year.Including Hawaii. Wow  hope this isn't an omen. I hope you all are warm, safe and enjoying the start to a new year. please be safe driving in this white beauty it can be dangerous. Love Susie

Red Christmas after all

Ok I gave in and made not one but two red tables.I made one only on the table I refused to pull out all my hard work on the pink. So only the table got done. Hello my friends in blogland. It's four days before Christmas and I'm going to finish my Christmas tables. I am driving 10 hours Christmas morning to visit my son in Oregon

So I 'm just going to share the Pics and wish everyone a very Merry ,Joyful and Loving Christmas.

It was my cookie baking weekend. The weather fully cooperated by raining, cold and just awful. So at 8:30 am I ran outside in between rain breaks and grabbed as many pinecones and pine boughs I could grab and made this table. The wonderful smell of Holiday cookies, red table, and Hallmark Christmas movies made for a great day. Enjoy

some of the 11 batches of cookies I made Yum
Merry Christmas to all, may your blessings be many and may you remember the reason for the season, Jesus!!!!

Snow table and snow in Seattle

Hello everybody well its only12 days to Christmas. We got our first snowfall in Seattle last week.Temperatures dropped into low 30's and we got hit with an Alaskan blast. We were not prepared and driving was horrible. It was amazing to see two inches blanket the waterfront  that night by the Ferris Wheel. So I decided to do a snow man table. I am sick with a very nasty cold today and horrible cough. So instead of narrating the pics I'll just let you enjoy. Hope everyone is well and ready for the Holiday season.Love Susie
