Silver and pink christmas

Can you believe Thanksgiving is over and we are just days away from Dec and then Christmas? I can 't believe how fast this year is just whizzing by.

Hello friends .I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and you were all Blessed.

I pulled out my decorations and opted for a new color this year.Pink and silver.I've been working on my Christmas ornaments for three months now. I have done various color schemes for over 40 years mostly in the red and green hues. I've done the blue snowman motif and everything  in between.

But the softness of lite pink kept calling me. I searched ideas on Pinterest for months to get ideas. Then came up with my own.

My entire apt is already shabby chic with pink decor so going with pink was not a stretch
So I set a very pretty soft table with silver and pink accents

every surface got a new facelift

the hutches got makeovers

I love the softness it reflects with just little pops of pink.not overwhelming just feminine enough

Enough to satisfy my pink need but not enough to make you gag over it.

tiny little houses under glass or on a cake plate

This is one of those ceramic trees from the early sixties I spray painted a soft pink then covered in pink glitter

the colors are the same including this centerpiece that I am using for our annual Women's dinner at my church

my mantel is done in pink fur and snow

I love how my tree turned out I made every ornament on the tree. The glitter fairy is smiling down on me.It's amazing how modge podge, spray paint and tons of glitter can transform every thing.I mean everything

These are not wrinkles in my tablecloth but embroidered snowflakes

so shiny and bright

Well that's it for me for now I hope you are all well and getting excited with Christmas to come.Catch some of the blogs out there, these ladies know how to decorate, bake ,create and just make the Holidays wonderful. So stop in at Between Naps on the Porch, Home is where the Boat Is, Kitchen Corner, Painted Apron,Confessions of aSerious Do It Yourselfer and so many more.Enjoy .Love Susie

Thanksgiving Table And Fall around Seattle

Hello everybody how have you all been? This is going to be a fun post starting with this guy who came dressed up for Halloween at the stadium, I saw him walking by and asked if I can take my picture with him of course he said yes. He's wearing close to a $2000 dollar costume with ten dollar Keds sneakers on  priceless.

Anyway right before my trip my dearest friend Lisa from San Diego sent me these beautiful maroon and turquoise plates. I knew I wanted to use them for my Thanksgiving table and couldn't wait to put it together when I got home from Africa. I joined turquoise and maroon napkins, with amber glasses, with a turquoise and cream tablecloth. These dishes are just stunning and I am so glad to join them to my collection of dishes

The colors are so warm and welcoming I could use them in the Fall, in the summer depending on which kind of accents I want to add to them or any time or season. Today I 'm going for Fall theme and pulling the rich maroon out with napkin rings, pumpkins, leaves and filler in the jars and bottles

Here you can see the pattern up close .I used a maroon charger to set color against the creme tablecloth(it has a turquoise one underneath)

Mr Turkey has taken his rightful place at the head of the table

Such a pretty pattern with such a variety of color I can't wait to use this with a beachy theme.I was so angry at my friend for spending so much money on me but I sure do Love this set of dishes.I am so Blessed that I have a friend who cares enough about me to send something like this.

So I say to my dearest friend Lisa Thank you for this wonderful gift.I hope you enjoy my table. It was made in pure Love and filled with Thanks  and Joy.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you I hope your day is filled with Love abundant, Joyful through out and Warm memories.
