coral reef tablescape

welcome back to my blog. it seems like forever since I have been on my blog. Lots of changes have occurred in my life and I wanted to share them with all of you in Blogland who have been so supportive of me. I moved here in June and finally after two months I have my own place .YEAAAAAAAAAA! my stuff has been in storage for 8 months and I was finally able to get it all out and put away in my new home in SEattle

with the summer coming to a slow end I wanted to create a table I have had in my mind for over a year. the biggest change beside the fact I had no furniture and couldn't create a table without a table is my new table and chairs set that I purchased at the thrift store on a day that everything was half off.Now although I love this table and four chairs set and I only paid $32. for the entire set my dream is to build a table out of pallets so hopefully in the near future I can work on that.So I created this table with coral as my inspiration.

The Puget sound is only a quarter of a mile away from my new place and it is my all time favorite beach to go to .I go and unwind ,relax and just enjoy the beauty around me.I am working three jobs now and my time is spent mostly catching up on lost sleep so when I can I slip away to the beach I do
this coral plate and coral candles help set the mood I m looking for
these square plates remind me of coral edges and I wanted to use them in a seascape scene

this cake plate I purchased and fell in love with the tiny starfish caught forever  in time.

the lighting is dark within the apartment so over head lights have to be used. Sorry not the best pics but I don't have natural light coming in so you have to make do with what you have.

The plates are so cute and using turquoise and coral colors together make this table welcome the beachy look.

Te greatest thing about my new place is this fireplace mantel. I no longer have to sit and read with envy all of you who get to change out your mantles with different decor for different holidays. I can 't wait for Fall to get here so I too can change out my Mantel.

In my new apt I have a new china hutch and I loved filling it with my treasures that have been packed up for so long yearning to get out and enjoyed again.Well thank you all for your kind words, prayers and well wishes you all gave me from Blogland in my journey to Seattle. I hope to continue in my quest here to meet new people and find new adventures. This is such a beautiful part of the North west and I am so glad I took the chance and came here
I will be joining Susan  at Between naps on the porch and alot of blogs I haven't had the time to get to. Why don't you come and join us. Have a great week smile often and love lots. and go hug someone just because you can. thanks Friends Susie

  3. The Puget Sound! Yes, it sound like you are now living in a very raining area.....I am jealous. As you know, we are under water restrictions - life is dry and brown here in California. So glad you have your new home. I'm looking forward to your tables, again.
