St Patrick's day challange

Well I jus happen to hear a from little leprechaun  that a challenge ha ben thrown out at us

A bonny Lass named Kathleen from Cuisine Kathleen has issued allof us a wee bit of a challenge and should we decide to accept her challenge well then Lads and Lassies we'll all be joining in a wee bit of fun we are. Oh I 'm a thinking there will be green on the morn and fairies abound some great soda bread to be shared by all.

We'll be pouring the Guinness aplenty

Telling stories about the ole sod and remembering where we've come from
mostly baking cookies for the littles to stop by in cute little shamrock shapes decorating their  hearts desire and mostly leaving quite a mess but that's
what Littles ans smallies do best

But we'll be setting a fine table with good china and pressed cloths

The silver will be polished to a sheen and the table set ever so fine

We'll fill the table with clover abound we are the Lucky folk remember

the bowl is ready to bake the irish soda bread

Aye it's a sweet one at that shamrocks everywhere remembering where we come from

the table is set so lets get this party started

Aye the room is filled with great scents of corn beef and cabbage ahh we eat well in the Land of Green

And while we are a waiting lets raise a toast to all and SLainte to all that's a good luck saying we here in Ireland say.

Hope everyone enjoys this challenge I don't have room to do a St Patricks day table but Katleen did say we could a table for one or a vignette so that is what I have done. hope your week is blessed and filled worth lots of Irish joys and miracles and may all your rainbows end in pots of gold.Susie I am linking up with Susan  at Between Naps on the Porch, Join the Scoop ,funy iunk  interiors  and any one else I can figure our.

  1. You really are talented at tablescaping. Love your attention to all the details from the way you placed 4, is it napkins, under your plate stack. That was a great idea, it looks so creative and lovely. Tying the bow on the handle added a touch of whimsy. Lovely, lovely greens for dishware. I enjoyed seeing this table and reading your words. I am Irish (McGuinness) and I couldn't write such a clever brogue..

    1. Valerie I went to Ireland in 2008 and it was magical just listening to the Brogues was pure delight .one of the best B&B we stayed at the women called her children littles and smallies and I just loved the term so cute. my family comes from County Claire in Southwest Ireland and I think I made up my own brogue. thanks for the fabulous comments you are so cute to say this. Lots of Irish luck goes to you and yours.Susie

    1. We had our corned beef dinner early and while baking my home made Irish soda bread the oven broke down and ruined the bread so traditional Irish pot dinner was good but lacking. we actually had the bread for dessert( it took almost two hours to bake) covered in honey and was very good. Hope you have agreat SPD.Susie

Hello Alma thank you for your comment what a joy to hear from you, All my possessions are in storage so making a table for something like Saint Patrick's day is truly a challenge for me . getting the stuff out unpacking, finding the right box then repacking it all back up but it sure is a joy to end up with a great table.
