woodland with tartan plaid theme

Hi everybody I hope your week has been good, can you believe we are down to the wire here for Christmas wow has this just flown by this year or what.?

I picked this woodland theme last year but had to wait to this year to complete the set of dishes from Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart.I purchased them last year after Christmas and they were half off

I've had this family of deer for years and loved how each place setting matched the wildlife. Here the family of deer nestles down among the trees
I never thought to mix and match different plaids together until Susan from Between Naps on the Porch shared with all of us in her post about her new plaid bedding.I made the table runner with a red plaid and found this warm blue plaid at a craft fair for a dollar.I think they look ok side by side

this little guy is peaking out from under the tree boughs and this little bird is nesting close to all.
Even the racoon wants to come                                                                                   out and play

See the little cardinal in it's birdhouse it matches the cardinal in two of the plates. the trees match the plate with the barn. even the napkin rings have tartan in them.the burlap napkins and the rustic chargers all enhance the woodland theme.

This was the last plate in the collection and I had to wait till this year to get it. but while at Walmart I grabbed this snowy white owl ornament to go with  the owl plate. They are a beautiful set of dishes I am so glad I got them

I found this beautiful rustic Christmas tree cake stand at a craft show and knew it had to be included in my woodland theme.Isn't it perfect? I can never have to many cake stands

My new red goblets  so sparkly and festive. I layered the plates on red chargers and then laid them on the reed chargers

Here is a closeup of this wonderful plate.Even the color was perfect like fresh creme and it had a plaid bow attached which I didn't get a picture of.

Well the animals are all snuggled down with the soft snow falling around them, the table is set all woodsy and warm. these little skates were too cute in their own tartan plaid. well I hope you enjoyed this walk in the woods with me.I loved putting all the rustic elements together. My husband and I rescued wildlife and rehabilitated many animals back into the wild including several baby raccoons. So this table had special meaning for me. I love how the animals are such a part of this tablescape and the plates were awesome.I have to try and find just the right plaid napkins next year to go with this table.Wishing everyone a wonderful week filled with Joy and anticipation of Christmas to come.
I'll be linking up I'm participating in Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch

with Between Naps on the porch, Table it link Party#31,Confessions of a Plate Addict and Funky Junk Interiors and any other ones that I can figure out. can anyone tell me why you need a permalink when trying to connect to other links? have a great week thinking warmly of all of you Susie

  1. Susie, I love that china pattern too, and you have carried out the theme so beautifully with all of your woodland animals. I've resisted getting some of that pattern (even when it was on sale), but you're making me re-think my resistance. laurie

    1. Thanks Laurie for commenting. Sometimes I find if I have to leave a store and go home and keep thinking about it especially when the item was so clearly marked down I should have saved myself time and money cuz I know I m just going to go back and get it. I have no resistance ergo that is why we are plate addicts.Susie

  2. First your table, It is wonderful!! You had me at deer on the table - I love those little guys, and then the racoons - just look at those big eyes (I found a set of racoon napkin rings a couple of weeks ago). And I saw a squirrel on your table and an owl too!! This is my kind of table. I love animal themes for fall and Christmas. Nothing goes better with a winter table setting than tartan plaid and those wonderful BHG Woodland plates. Beautiful!!!

    Now as for your permalink:

    What you need:
Your permalink to the post you want to share.
The permalink to the link party you want to share at.
When you put the permalink to a party in the body of your post you are linking the permalink for that post to your post so that from now until forever, whoever wants to can click on that link and see the post you have linked to. When you update your post you should be able to click on that link and go straight to the link party. Now for the other side of the link, YOU!!! - your permalink is shown when you click on the title of the post (your post) that you want to share (link).
The permalink should contain the title of your post and a month and year. On blogger the permalink is assigned automatically. When that URL (permalink) (aka address of your post) that you are linking to a party is used, it allows you to connect your post and pick the picture you want to use for the party. In other words from now until forever whoever visits the party site can click on your post and come visit you and see this beautiful table. This only works if you use the permalink for the link party and the permalink for your post that you want to share...... that's the way it works for me anyway....... I really do not know hardly anything about computers.... but I am able to link to the parties, so I do know something...... kind of..... If anyone is better able to explain, please do..... I hope I am not embarrassing myself.... Candy
