Peppermint patty party

Yea it's Christmas time bring out all the colors and ribbons and Christmas decor.
I set a table with a peppermint theme and created individual little cake plates made of melted peppermint candies attached to candy canes. How fun and Happy for this Holiday.

I made each place setting with a red napkin wrapped in silver toille and a candy peppermint ornament for a napkin ring.

my centerpiece is a cake plate fully adorned in candy canes and hanging peppermints and a giant peppermint as my centerpiece I couldn't wait to get started on my Christmas decoration and envisioned this for weeks

so bright and colorful perfect for the little ones to come and visit.
peppermint candles and salt and pepper shakers from GW helped to create  this peppermint idea.

Red dotted glassware and candies scattered through out

these plates were clearance at GW last year four for 50 cents, it was to bad I had to wait a year to use them
I love the ability to hang charms on this cake plate then I can use it  for any season or holiday.

The little cake plates are party favors and good to take home

Ooh I had so much fun making this and so excited to get in the holiday spirit .I have several ideas for Christmas tables. wishing you all joyous happy thoughts as we get nearer to the greatest Holiday of the year when Our Lord Jesus was born. What a reason for celebration. with nasty weather affecting many parts of the country please remember to drive a little more safely this time of year.Come on over and join us this week with Susan at between naps on the porch, and the join me for the scoop. see you there. love susie

  1. Peppermint plates are one of my favorites, and they are so hard to find. You were very smart (and lucky) to snap those beauties up at that price!! This peppermint candy table is delightful! I cannot imagine a child not being thrilled to share a snack or having dinner seated at this candy land wonder. The little S&P shakers are cute as a button, and the candles are spot on perfect for this table. I really like the green in the table cover, it lets the green in the plates pop. Very pretty!!!

  3. Fun and festive! Just looking at this table revs up the holiday excitement for me. Making the individual peppermint cake stands is a must for me they are just too cute! I love collecting cake plates and putting a DIY twist on them as well. Having the ability to interchange ornaments on them is great. Love this post and wishing you and your family Merry Christmas!

    1. Hi Sandra thanks for stopping buy and leaving such a nice comment. If you are to make them make sure you don't use sugar free mints and I had to hot glue-gun the candy canes together first then the plates on top bit of work but so overjoyed by everyone. Hope you and your family have a joyous Christmas.Susie

  4. Susie -I thought that last week's table was great but this table tops it. The peppermint plate/stand is fabulous and clever. And you know that I am nuts about flatware....is that pink flatware (not to mention pink tumblers????) Once again, I am drooling with envy. All I can say is your table makes me smile. It can't get better than that. Katie

  5. Adorable table, I love the candy cane theme. Your favors of peppermint and candy canes is adorable. I have seen the melted candy before but have not yet tried it. Putting the melted candy on the canes is genius! I bet your guests loved it! Thank you for your sweet comment on my mitten ornaments. That was a post I recycled from 3 years ago so I don't have any left as I sold them in my booth, but I'm flattered

    1. Hi Valerie welcome to my post and for starting your new blog you are going to love it. If you make the candy use regular sugar mints not sugar free I made that mistake. use something round I used mini cheesecake form and bake for about 7-9 minutes at 325 once it gets to start melting be careful it cooks real fast. remove from oven and let cool just a few minutes then remove from mold.I used ahot glue gun to make them stick on the candy canes.Best of luck to youSusie

  8. Susie, this is such a fun table! It brings out the kid in all of us! You did so much work, but I am so happy you had fun with it. The colors are so vibrant and cheerful! So much to look at!
Thanks so much for taking the challenge! I am so happy you look forward to them. It is easier to use one's ow ideas than try to copy a table! But, it does stretch us to do new things!
