making lil bird nests

I know lots of you are still buried under snow in so many parts of the country but with January almost coming to a close I thought maybe some of you might be looking forward to spring or at least spring projects .I made these little bird nests this week mostly because I was so bored and tried to organize my craft bags. I made several flowers from burlap and saved the pulled threads. I didn't  want to throw them out (I figured I could use them for something) Taa-Daa put them all together with lace scraps, ribbon scraps and anything in little bits and pieces and just

put it on something the glue won't stick to like foil and just pour glue over all .I used Aileen's tacky glue. when they were partially dry and set just scrunch up and shape into a little nest. add more or make them as big as possible. add eggs and some birds and Spring is coming! hope this works .susie

  1. That is such a creative idea, I usually make burlap tassels out of the leftover stings. Now I can make bird nests too. Thanks for sharing this....
