Citrus Delight

Wow another Holiday has just flown by where has half the year gone already?Hello all my blogland folks I've missed you all so much. Last week I had major foot surgery and although I was designated to couch and elevated feet and ice I didn't even venture to the computer once.where my desk is, made it very difficult to fit the Boot into that tight space.

But after feeling a tiny bit better after five days I decided to brighten my dining room up with sunshiny yellow and went with lemons

I love the versatility of lemons and Love cooking and baking with them.Who doesn't love tart and tangy lemon bars or a sweet lemon pie tart on a hot day of summer or tall glasses of lemonade to quench our thirsts.

Lemons always remind me of a burst of sunshine to see and a burst in the mouth you want to pucker but want another taste right away.

Always sunny and bright lemons bring delight

I mixed and matched oranges in this table  setting and they all looked  so good together.

Lemon meringue pie, lemon sorbet for dessert, lemon garlic chicken ooh the possibilities are so endless

Lemons mean summer to me.How many of our kids had lemon aide stands when they were little?

the candles will  be lit and  cast a soft buttery glow

I wish I had a barbeque grill I really long for a barbecue.summer isn't the same without one. But I'll make do without.

the cake plate is waiting for tasty lemon bites of whatever dessert I plan on making.Ooh lemon drop cheesecake squares that sounds yummy.

I have some wonderful news I can't wait to share with everyone.I am going on a Mission trip to Uganda in October for two weeks with my church.

We are taking the children of the orphanage to a animal safari then coming back and helping to build solar panels on their gymnasium. I am very excited that I get a second chance to do this. 8 years ago I was going on the same trip when the Breast Cancer stopped me cold for two years. Now I am getting a second chance.

So once more I ask for prayers from all of you one, for the funds of which total $3200 per person costs and two  that all comes together for God's plan. Please lift me up in your prayers for this my fellow bloggers.
