See aren't they wierd looking they are real hard and have no odor(at least not to me) and have like a leathery texture. |
The hutch got a new look the Fall colors are so beautiful and vibrant |
Here are more pics of the PODS totally weird they paired well with the crabapples and I think they have a great color contrast |
Here is the table already for dinner I think I will settle this time and make an apple pie but save that for another post. |
As you show so well, apples are such a wonderful complement to fall decor.

ReplyDeleteI love the way all of the apples are used. Your mini cake plate with the single apple is divine!

DeleteHi Susie,
ReplyDeleteApples ARE in abundance in the autumn, and your little collection, is very cute! Hmm. Those pods are very mysterious, aren't they? At least they perfectly complement your petite and pretty globes of fruit!
Poppy
Hi Poppy thanks for your sweet comment still don't know what the pods are but maybe I can get some more next year. they certainly were unique.Susie
DeleteI have no idea what the pods are....but I love apples!! I think I like the option to put them into a flaky crust...Yum. Still hot here in Orlando too....but, we can pretend it is fall lol! If you would like instructions on how to link to another sites party email me and I can give you the instructions thepolkadotcloset@live.com
ReplyDeleteCarol
Hey Carol thanks for your response and I am going to take your advice and put them in a delicious pie with icecream melting over it Yum. I am going to email you about connections thanks so much for your help.Susie
DeleteApple pie sounds so yummy, I have four apples on the counter from an apple festival that we went to last week. I am thinking of chopping them up and baking them in buttered Pepperidge Farm puff pastry dough with some butter, brown sugar, and a touch of cinnamon. Your table looks so cute all apple-d up and ready for the fall.... Candy
ReplyDeleteHi Susie: It is the middle of the night and somehow, I felt a need to read my blog comments. When I saw yours, my heart just broke. I am so sorry. I will pray right now. Just wanted to let you know, I was awake and God was hearing prayers for you. Please feel free to email me anytime you need to. I will always pray and and have a ear to hear your heart. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look anyone has answered your question. I'll try. ;)
ReplyDeleteI blog on WordPress....it's different than Blogger...but the permalink will be the same.
When I clicked over here I look up on the browser and I see your blog's permalink. It looks like this for this particular post: http://www.cakeplatesandothertreasures.com/2014/09/apple-abundace.html
That is your permalink and that's all you need to link up to parties...like mine...and Susan's. However, when you link up at Susan's you need to link back to your site (actually, you should do that for every site you link to, but she requires that you do it first where most of us don't.). So...go over to the post here that you want to link up at...make sure it's the post you've clicked on...not just the blog URL in the browser window (ie.. http://anextraordinaryday.net/make-pumpkins-and-gourds-from-paperback-books/ is what you'll want to use not http://anextraordinaryday.net/.) Notice the difference? The first is the permalink to the post. I hope that helps. If you have questions...just ask...I'll be glad to help.
Diane answered that question perfectly! Love the apples they are so perfect for this time of year. Mine wouldn't last very long on a table. Just looking at yours makes me think of what I would bake with them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tablescape! Love the colors, very fallish without the usual orange and the apples look so good,...Christine
