So I scouted thru his cubbards and came up with this set of butterfly plates and can you believe it he had a cake plate? But the real topper is the gorgeous Camilla plants blooming everywhere |
He had this very unique floral vase I used |
One of my new adaptations is a part time job as a pastry chef at a restaurant that definitely had God's hand all over it. but the greatest part of this job is I work from home and bring my desserts to them so the first day I made strawberry napoleons as seen in the first picture.
He didn't even know he had candles in the house |
these flowers were stunning and I grabbed a few azaleas that were on their last bloom
As I am typing this my heart and chest just fill up with emotions as I re-
read the post and look at this butterfly on the mugs and how metaphoric it is about change and all I am going thru like I too am becoming a butterfly and the world is wide open to me.So if you are reading this imagine you are being hugged and loved because that is what I am sending all of you. the power of love prayer and friendship empowers all of us. thank you my my blogland family .Instead of turmoil and fear I now have a sense of calm and peace for the future.Susie I'm participating in Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch. confessions of a plate addict,Join the scoop.and Funky Junk Interiors so stop on by with me
Happy to hear things are looking up for you, Susie. How fortunate you can work from home...most states you have to go through hoops when it comes to cooking in a non-commercial kitchen.

DeleteOh my gosh Susie, I am so happy to see you doing a tablescape!! You just can't keep a good gal down! I knew your desire to create would take over and guide you toward doing a lovely tablescape. The plates are wonderful, they are so full of life and color. The green checked napkins and the flower napkin rings are perfect. The yellow and white floral "table cover" fits in perfectly with the colors and subject of the dinnerware. I love it all !! Now I feel all happy. You are right about the metamorphosis of the butterfly being so symbolic. We all need to be reborn and start again at some time during our life.

DeleteOh, Susie,
ReplyDeleteI know you have been through some incredibly difficult times and situations, but I am not sure you realize what an inspiration you are! My jaw dropped as I read how even in the middle of your personal
upheaval you can manage to create a lovely tablescape out of what you had to work with. You know the old saying,"when life gives you lemons, make lemonade". That certainly applies to you! I read how this has been the hardest and scariest thing you have had to do, but your courage and bravery is astounding. You may not feel it at the low points, but I am sure there are others like myself who are inspired by your candor and bravery. Many of us are praying for you; He is faithful!
I don't have a blog so I have to sign anonymous.
Best wishes , prayers, and hugs from a complete stranger!
